Zara started sale yesterday!!
I went out to malls to check out some stuff and see how they priced down :)

And I finally had a chance to have this ahhhh-mazing soft icecream from Paul Bassett. So creamy, rich and soft!
It was gone in like 10 seconds haha

It's Friday, guys!
Hope you have a lovely one!
I will see you in my next post.

I didn't even get to have dinner today,
literally had no time in between.
And this lovely girl who I take jewelry making class with gave me this macaron, such a life saver!
Oh, it's Friday tomorrow already??
It's funny that I still get excited about Fridays when I don't even work :D

30 Day Snap #25 :: My Drawing Tools

Hi, guys!
I put up a picture of jewelry making tools before,
thought I should do the same for my design tools to be fair!! :)

Right now,I am taking a course called Counter Sketch
which I learn rough-drawing using color pencils, markers and lead holder.
Starting later next week,
I will start this new Rendering course
then I get to use watercolors.
Pretty excited about it already!
I've practiced drawing for like 4 hours,
my neck is super soar
but hey,
I am so so happy to do my thing all day every day!

Tomorrow I am gonna meet up with a friend who took a day off
so hopefully I come back with an interesting picture!

I went grocery shopping to Costco,
had a big turkey provolone sandwich as soon as I got there.
and then I bought some rye bread, salad greens, honey turkey ham,
cheese, frozen berries, fruits, avocados and protein powder!
I am pretty excited to eat some of these goodies and exercise later today.

I don't know what it is...
but I have a thing for grocery shopping.
I just love to go through all the aisles
and look at all different kinds of things!

What fun stuff did you do today?

30 Day Snap #22 :: Seoul City At Night

I remember the first time I went out with my friends to clubs at night in New York
when I lived there.
We got kicked out of the club around 2 a.m.,
in the city that never supposed to sleep.
I thought to myself,
they should call Seoul the city that never sleeps!
Seriously! 24hour open restaurants are everywhere,
bars and clubs are still crowded till like 7a.m.
and we even have after clubs open till 9a.m.!!!
Now they run these late night buses,
Seoul's just becoming better and better for night owls and party lovers.

Okay, I have another busy day tomorrow.
Off to bed!
Good night
and have a good day to everyone on the other side of the planet :)

My coworkers invited me to lunch,
we had steaks and salads at Vips steak house.
I am cleaning my desk off.
I walk out that door later today,
I'm done here.
It's really nice when your boss says you did good, our team couldn't do it without you.
I feel good and ready :)
The fun part begins tomorrow! Yay!

I hope you guys have/had an awesome Friday!

30 Day Snap #20 :: Bus Ride

I felt so weird on the bus to work this morning,
especially after I talked to my boss and manager that I am quitting.
I had a very busy day
handing over the tasks and talking to lots of people.
Tomorrow's gonna be the end of my 2 year working experience in this company.
But end is also new beginning, right?

30 Day Snap #19 :: Gems

Hi, everyone :)
I took this picture of gems at the school yesterday,
aren't day so beautiful?
I only played with topaz before,
I can't wait to make some jewelry out of all these little guys one day!

I have a big news, guys.
I finally quit my job today!!!!
So I can focus on the jewelry classes till I leave Korea in Sep.
I made that decision yesterday and everything happened so fast.
Luckily I have my work buddy who wanted to take over my deputy manager position,
quitting and telling my boss went so smoothly.
Ah, thank God, I feel so relieved and .....good!!!
More drawings and more pieces to come :)
I am freaking out at the same time
because I started working even before graduating my uni
and never been unemployed ever since.

I hope you all have/had an amazing day!

Oh my Gosh!
It's 18th 30 day snap already??
This month is going by so quick!

Anyways, if you've been reading my blog for a while,
you might have noticed that I love avocados :)
I've shared my yogurty avocado smoothie recipe before,
click here if you are interested!
And today's recipe is lighter than last time.
These are the ingredients for one serving.

1tbs honey + a half avocado + coconut water (I used about 250ml) + 1tbs chia seeds

Yeh, that's it!
Put everything together in the blender jar and just blend it :)
It's so delicious and nutritious as well.
This is my healthy dinner before swimming lessons.

What's your favorite smoothie?

OOTD :: Beach Baby

Good morning!
It's been quite a while I've posted OOTD,
today I wanna share what I wore last weekend in Busan :)
I got to Haundae beach so early in the morning,
there weren't a lot of people besides joggers.
I loved how serene and peaceful there
cause I've only seen the beach all packed and busy every time I visit!
I am so jealous of people who live in Busan.
The city's got this cool vibe going on, got beaches
oh and goooood fooood!
Ah I miss being there already,
should try to get back there soon
and make that stay a lot longer than this time!
Aw the pictures from surfing below are a bonus :)
Hope you like them.

You all have a great day!

30 Day Snap #17 :: Bun Bo Xao

Good morning, guys!
I hope you all had a good weekend :)

You like viet food?
I seriously love love love viet food.
I went back to one of my favorite restaurant, Little Saigon, with my friends yesterday,
though it'd be cool to share my favorite viet food!
I do love Pho and Bun Bo Hue
but Bun Bo Xao is to die for.
It's got some beef, pineapple bits, pickled radish, salad greens and peanuts,
it 's served with this really light sweet and sour sauce with a hint of chilli
Bun Bo Xao is basically like a salad meal with some thin noodles,
If you are going out with your friends and
you don't want any heavy meal,
Bun Bo Xao would be the perfect choice!

The reason why I love vietnamese food is not just because it taste good,
it's cooked in very healthy ways most of the time like boiling and grilling.
Well, my fiance's parents are vietnamese.
I only knew Pho before but hjs mom is an amazing cook,
while I was in Australia visiting my fiance's family,
she cooked a lot of different viet food.
I totally loved everything I had!
Ah I have a post about the food if you want to check out. Click here :)

Have another great week, lovelies!

30 Day Snap #16 :: Sea shore

Good morning!
Wow, my whole body's aching from surfing yesterday.
I gotta run to that drawing class,
but I wanted to share this cool picture from Busan!
I'd love to try jet skiing,
but I didn't have time for it this time.
hopefully next time! :)

You all have a great Sunday!

30 Day Snap #15 :: Surf Shop

Hi, everybody!
I just got back from Busan.
I got little nervous about going to that city and taking the surfing class all by myself,
good thing I made it there!
I had tons of fun and met a few cool people :)
My motto in life is "Stop hesitating and just do it",
cause you will never know if you don't do whatever that is!
That just got proved right once again!
I've been surfing a few years now
but I take a break during winter I seem to be reset every time I go back  hahaha
I always need the beginners lesson every summer to warm up.
This time, the class I took today was only 10,000won
(this is less than 10USD. awesome, eh?)
The weather today was beautiful,
but we didn't get a lot of waves so just did a lot of paddling.
I probably go back there for 3 day lessons or even go to Yangyang
(Another city you can surf in Korea)
Anybody surfing or surfed before? :)

30 Day Snap #14 :: Jewelry Making Tools

It was a typical same Thursday yesterday,
I took a picture of all my jewelry making tool set to show you guys :)
My hands are all bruised and cut,
I feel my passion for jewelry is getting stronger each day,
I only have 3 months before I leave Korea,
feel already sad I won't be able to take any more classes later.

But anyways, Friday didn't seem like coming but finally came!
I am heading off to Busan after work for a surfing class
where have beautiful beaches and lots of good food.
I will tell you more about the city when I get back.

Hope you all have a great great Friday,

30 Day Snap #13 :: Seoul LGBT Film Festival

I was invited to Seoul LGBT Film Festival thanks to Lush Korea yesterday.
I got to watch this movie, J.Edgar, and it completely blew my mind away!

I will be honest with you guys though,
it is a little too patriotic and a lot of histories involved movie
but this one time I didn't mind that all!
Plus it's a Dicaprio movie, you know? :)
Ahhhh I want to say so much about it
but at the same time I don't want to spoil the movie if your didn't watch it yet.
The hotel fight scene broke my heart!
I burst into tears there and the last scene... :'-(
J.Edgar's life in the movie was definitely interesting
and I never knew how F.B.I was built.
It was truly beautiful and educational!

What exciting stuff have you done today? :)

30 Day Snap #12 :: The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning

As soon as I open my eyes every morning
I go straight to the scale and weigh myself.
And yes, everyday.
I don't work out to lose weight but did put on some weight during last winter,
so I am trying to get back to where I was.
I am hypoglycemic.
If you are not familiar with the word, it means I have low blood sugar.
I can't skip meals.
I did twice, fainted both times.
So I couldn't starve to lose weight, chose to burn off the calories instead.
I run, I swim, I go hiking and I do weight training to get fit.
When I went to china back in 2006 as an exchange student, I gained 10kilos.
I weighed 60kg and that was the biggest I got in my entire life.
I am only 158cm tall and have small figure.
I felt so unhealthy, horrible and tired all the time.
I still strongly remember those uncomfortable feelings.
I spent 3-4hours a day for 3 months, lost the whole 10kilos,
ever since then I've been exercising almost everyday!

What the first thing you do in the morning?

My Daily Skin Care Routine

I've been trying to post this up for a couple of weeks already,
but I should confess that this 30 day snap project is really challenging!
I mean I didn't used to blog everyday before,
now I have to post at least once a day
plus my regular ones!
But it's all good :)
I am slowly getting used to it,
I think I will be able to blog more in the future than before the challenge!

Since it's getting hotter everyday, I changed my skin care routine recently.

I thought I'd share with you guys :)

Before I start, I want to tell you how I discovered the brand first.

I am completely a sucker for La Roche-Posay products.

Their first product I've ever tried is Cicaplast which is repair gel,
my dermatologist recommended this after the treatments that I got before.
It was exceptional!
It really helped me recover from the dermatological procedures,
took away the redness from my skin
and soothed out any irritated and dry patches on my face.
Not long after that,
I found out that one of my friend work for a company
that distribute La Roche-Posay products!
Ever since I bought so much stuff through her
using her amazing employee discount ;)

Over all, La Roche Posay's skin care is really mild and gentle
and most of them are not scented.

After I wash my face,
I dampen a cotton pad with Effaclar Clarifying Moisturizing Lotion
and apply to face in circular motion like I wipe the remaining make up
It's like water really.
Honestly this isn't the best toner I've used,
it just does its okay job hydrating my skin.
and then I straight jump into Kiehl's Abyssine eyecream
which I reviewed not long ago
(Click here to see the review)
Then I reach for Effaclar K
which is daily renewal fluid for oily skin.
Oh my God, I have to tell you guys this product does work for oily skin!
I was so impressed by the noticeable difference at first.
It does reduces grease, make my pores smaller and made my skin look smoother!
I strongly recommend this if you have oily to combination skin.
I have combination skin,
so I use it on the oily area
and I only need a small amount since it's quite runny.
The next product I go for is Hydraphase Intense Riche
This is a deep-hydrating cream lightly aquatic scented (I love it!),
I use it concentrating on my dry area (cheeks/chin/around my mouth).
It's lightweight texture and absorbs into my skin nicely,
and really keep my skin soft and moisturized all day & night.
And then I put Uvidea XL SPF50 Tinted Cream for mornings
This product is basically tinted sunscreen,
it doesn't give you full coverage and is quite sheer, not buildable
as you can see in the last picture above.
So what I like to do with it js mix it with a tiny bit of my foundation,
that way I get some coverage and I don't like wearing thick make up.
This tinted cream is definitely a staple item for summer!

I hope this post is helpful.
If you use La Roche-Posay products,
what do you think of them?
My friend recently got me samples of the Whitening line for asian skin,
I will try these little guys out for a week or so and do another review post :)

You all have a good day!

Fashion News :: Isabel Marant for H&M

It's official!!
I was wondering who's gonna do the collaboration work with H&M
after Givenchy had been cancelled.
I definitely knew something big was coming!

Marant's unique brand of Parisian chic has became super popular between celebrities.
She invented a blend of boho elegance and rock spirit
which already has been inspiring the high street looks
from aztec prints to wedge trainers.

The collection will be available from Nov 14, 2013.
I literally can't wait!

I hope this is an exciting news for you too!
and Garance Dore's interview with Isabel Marant below is a bonus

(All the pictures from both of the official sites,
find out more about the collabo work from here )

30 Day Snap #11 :: Workout

Good morning!
I know today is going to be a pretty busy day for me
with work/drawing assignments/jewelry making lessons.
I took an extra photo last night so I don't miss my 30 Day Snap challenge! :)

So this is my abs workout kit.
My yoga mat, some weights, training top & shorts
I've tried Jillian Michaels 30 day shred before.
even though I only made it to 20
because I was leaving for Australia with my fiance to see his family and friends,
I felt so strong and healthy after 20 days of workout.
So I wanted to try this abs workout this time.
I don't do this everyday,
just because I don't have enough time during the week
especially Tuesday and Thursday I get home at 11
but I try to do it as many times as I can
that'd be like 3~4 times a week.
It was about 5th time last night,
I already feel my tummy tighter and harder than before :)
And what I love about this workout is that
it's not only about your abs but Jillian Michaels also give you interval cardio
and good lower back and arm workouts.
Oh! and it's pretty quick workout program, takes only 30 mins!
Of course It is not easy at all to follow her instructions in the video,
but believe me, it gets easier and easier.
My favorite ones are side crunches and superman one!

If you trying to exercise for this summer
or if you don't have time to go to gym,
I strongly recommend this program!

Hope you all have a great day today :)

30 Day Snap #10 :: Chocolate Love

I don't snack much but I do love chocolate! :D
Today I was craving hershey's cookies and cream at work,
went out to get it to the ministop downstairs then they didn't have any.
I wend for this Japanese "Bake" chocolate instead,
it was pretty nice!!
It was crispy outside and super soft inside,
I really enjoyed it.

You like chocolate too?
What are your favorites?
My favorites are toblerone, hershey's cookies and cream and Guylian :)

I will see you in my next one.

Update on my Jewelry Making & Designing Courses #2

Hi, everyone :)

It's been quite a long time since I shared my jewelry lesson experiences,
today I want to tell you about what I've been working on lately.

I've learned how to give rings different texture,
it's really interesting!
The one on my middle finger in the first picture is bullet ring
and the one on the thumb is hammered ring :)
Aw and I made these engagement ring(this is the name of the ring type)
for me and my boyfriend,
he was leaving at the time
so I wanted to give him something special!
I've been copy-drawing a lot of designs
which helped me figure out the structure.

Oh and my drawing teacher invited me to a big jeweler's garden party.
It was really cool to check out his shop
and to hear how he became an owner of the biggest jewelry shop in Korea
from a temporary worker of a small jewelry retail store.

I wish I started the courses earlier.
There are so much more to learn
but time is so limited since I leave Korea in September.

I hope you guys enjoy my post.
I will try to post how I make rings next time,
think that would be interesting.

Byeee :)

30 Day Snap #9 :: Before The Drawing Class

Hi, girls!
It is drawing day Sunday :)
I go to drawing class on Sundays like I've told you guys already.
Before I go in, I always want to have a nice brunch,
because the class is 4 hour long!
Today I went for a new version of croque monsieur and a soy latte.
Drawing takes a lot of energy out of me.

Are you taking part in 30 Day Snap, too?
What have you done today? :)

30 Day Snap #8 :: Another Day At The Pool

Happy Saturday!
I went back to the pool again,
thought it might be a good idea to share the view with you today!
There were a lot of people again..
I don't think I will go back there
We need more outdoor pools in Seoul!!

How was your day?

30 Day Snap #7 :: Swimming Lessons

I've started to take swimming lessons since this Monday.
I so want to learn the breast stroke,
but every time, I quit right before I get to learn it
and the next summer I have to start from the beginning!
So hopefully this summer I master the breast stroke :)

Have a good Friday, everyone!

30 Day Snap #6 :: Poolside

Hello, everyone!
It is a Korean national holiday today
which means no work today!

A couple friends of mine and I met up in front of the pool we went last weekend,
but there were a lot of people all lined up to get in.
I really didn't feel like waiting in the line.
So we tried a different one this time
and it turned out actually alright :)
I looked up and the view was quite cool through my sunglasses.

Did you all have a good day?

30 Day Snap #5 :: View On The Way To Work

Good morning!

I want to share the view on my way to work today :)
I love walking to the bus/subway station in the morning,
one of the reasons is the view you see in the picture.
It takes 35-40 mins for me to walk,
I don't mind waking up a little earlier
and start a day with a nice long walk.

I hope you all have a great day today!

Byeeee :)

30 Day Snap #4 :: Birthstones

My week days aren't too eventful and interesting.
I go to jewelry making class on Tuesdays and Thursdays after work.
I get off at 5pm and the class doesn't start till 7:30pm
What I usually do in between is to go to the starbucks near the school.
Sometimes I bring my laptop with me and blog
or draw like today :)
I had some assignments to draw these birth stones till Sunday,
thought I'd get that out of the way early.
It was fun drawing these little guys.

How was your day today? :)
